Option 2: Go outside or inside and go for a walk. Try to sing or hum as many songs as you can while walking to the beat of the music. You can use a device to listen and sing along with the music, or you can just sing songs without listening to music. Please sing your songs quietly.
Rhythms:
Go outside or inside and go for a walk. Try to find different objects and play rhythms on them. You can make your own songs (compose music) by combining different rhythms together. Please play your songs quietly.
Body Rhythms:
Go outside or inside and go for a walk. While you are walking, try to create different sounds that your body can make. Take these sounds that you have created and make your own songs (compose music) by combining different rhythms together. Some examples are using your mouth, hands, feet, and more to create sounds that you can turn into rhythms. Please create your songs quietly.
Just Dance and Make a Dance:
Option 1: Find a device (a bigger screen is better, if possible). Dance to“Just Dance” videos on youtube that are appropriate. Click on the blue link below to view a few Just Dance videos. Look on the right hand side of the screen to find different options to choose from.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t29UjRbBasg&list=PLNTqbiDl2B_9WLFqxQwz-T7DSfalVuax6
If you do not like these videos, you can dance to any Just Dance videos that are appropriate.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO BOTH OPTIONS! PICK ONE!
Option 2: If you do not have a device to dance to Just Dance videos or you do not like to dance to videos, then here is your assignment: Go outside or inside and create your own dance. Your dance should have a beginning, middle and end. Make sure to have a clear and safe area to dance in. EXTRA (you do not need to, but you can try these ideas): You can show your dance to one of your family members or dance with a family member. You can even add music to it, if you are able.
Sounds and Solfege
Go outside or inside. You should be able to create and listen to different sounds. Try to find and create low, medium, and high sounds. Some examples that you could hear would be high sounds from a bird singing and some low sounds you could hear could be truck engine sounds. Some sounds that you could create could be lightly tapping on different objects. If you have time and internet access, you can practice singing low, medium, and high sounds by clicking on the blue links below that have you sing and repeat solfege:
Solfege 1 is easier: https://youtu.be/YN5vsSitLK0
Solfege 2 is more difficult because you have to sing by yourself: https://youtu.be/FngUEjwsZM0
Solfege Songs:
If you have access to the internet, try to sing songs by clicking on the blue links below. You can also add the hand signs that they show on one the videos to practice your solfege. If you remember the videos that you watched the day before, they might help you in singing these songs.
Do Re Mi Song: https://youtu.be/3lU6X13icO0
Do Re Mi Movie Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLm07s8fnzM
If you have time or do not have the internet, then practice the solfege hand signs below.
Rhythm Games:
If you have access to the internet, clap the rhythms to the songs below by clicking on the blue links below. Most of the time you should be clapping and saying either ta, ti-ti, or rest.
Angry Birds (Lectura rimica): https://youtu.be/BN0d3l1B3ao
Trolls (Peer Gynt) https://youtu.be/I1Ks0aHqH1E
If you have time and if you do not have access to the internet, then create your own song. Go inside and find a pencil and paper. Down below I have included a picture of different types of music notes and rests. Choose your favorite notes and rests below and write them in different orders to create different rhythms. *If you would like to share your assignment with me, it will need to be brought back to school in your homework folder or emailed to Miss Ludtke.
Get Moving:
If you have the internet, you can move to the songs by listening to the different sounds. Click on the blue links below.
Snake Song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j24_xH5uvdA
Get Your Body Movin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXH0EAKzPcM
If you would rather do Just Dance songs, look on the right hand side of the screen to find different options to choose from.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t29UjRbBasg&list=PLNTqbiDl2B_9WLFqxQwz-T7DSfalVuax6
If you have time or do not have the internet, then you can make your own sounds and make movements to them. One example would be making a clicking sound and jumping to the beat of the clicks.
Make a Band:
If you have access to the internet, play the rhythms to the song below by clicking on the blue link below. This song is a bit complicated. Therefore you can choose just one or two objects to play on. You can even play this with your family. For instance, there are 4 different shapes and colors. At the beginning of the song it shows some ideas for each shape. Red Circle: Some type of box, Green Square: Some type of metal, Yellow Triangle: Some type of cutlery (spoons or forks), Orange “X”: Some type of lid. Whenever the dots come down to the specific shape, you should play that object. If this is too confusing or you do not have the internet, then play on all of these different objects and create your own songs. You do NOT have to have the exact objects that I mentioned above. You can find your own objects.
